Just wanted to say that the latest issue of TBM is really top-notch, and confirms why it’s one of the only hunting magazines I bother with any more.

I really enjoyed Doug Borland’s accounts of his early days in Alaska, and learning by trial and error.

Larry’s story on finding a quiver in a shop in Sicily, and the connection that was made as a result, was a really entertaining read.

The interviews with Jerry Brumm, Dave Dwyer and Bill Forman, Jim Akenson’s piece on chasing mulies in central Idaho…

And Jason’s closing piece hits on something I think about a lot – how easy it can be to lust after the far away and exotic, and how important it is to know that the exotic doesn’t have to be far away – you just need to look for it with fresh eyes.

All in all, it’s just high quality from cover to cover. Thanks to the whole TBM crew for continuing to produce what I see as the ‘antidote’ to just about every other hunting magazine on the shelf these days!

Ditto, read cover to cover and waiting for more. Class act for sure. Been cooped up in the house with sub zero temps outside. Didn’t bother me, l had TBM to pass the time. Keep it guy’s.

I usually take to reading it as soon as it arrives, can’t help it, then I realize I need to slow down and savor the magazine for it’s another 8 weeks before the next issue. Been doing it like this since the beginning.

I love this magazine, it stands for all things good and pure in our sport, without fail.

I already have. 😉 Thanks for all the kind words. We have had some great writers and staff over the years who love this sport, and we feel very blessed to be able to bring it to you.

I have been saving mine for tomorrow. I have to leave for a out of town wedding and will be stuck in a hotel for the night. Gonna kick back with a cold beer and read it cover to cover. It’s been a tradition for me for last 20 years to not touch it until I get a chance to read it all at once. Read every one cover to cover.

Agreed. Really enjoyed it, as usual. Seems a long time watching the mailbox between issues!

nice job ( on all the issues) it is a rare thing to have a publication that you want to read cover to cover each and every issue such as the case with TBM.

As a new member on this forum and a new subscriber to TBM, I had no idea what to expect from the magazine. After reading my first issue which arrived last week, I am hooked! This is without a doubt the finest publication regarding any type of hunting that I have ever read.

The articles are well balanced and the advertising space is well used.

Like Jason, I too sat down and read it front to back in one go.

As said above, now I have to wait 8 weeks for another dose.

Welcome to the family dbartlett! And thanks for the kind words.

We also sell our back issues in print (back to 1989) and digital (2012-current) format. 😉 Sometimes that helps pass the time until the next issue arrives.

On the main page, under the Product heading, select the shopping cart that applies to you and go to the second page of items to find back issues listed by year. Premium Members, be sure to use the yellow button before selecting your cart in order to get the 10% discount.

For digital versions, don’t go into the shopping cart, just click “Single Digital Issues” in the Products area. As always, email me if you have questions.

                              Robin,

Thanks for pointing me to the back issues. I just ordered two back issues for now. More to come later. Great salesmanship!

You will not be disappointed Dave, I have every issue printed saved. I am looking forward to my retirement so I can read them all over again. I do not know how you can make 1 issue last more than a day. Those guys must be able to lick there Tootsie Pop’s all the way to the end also.:D

In my youth, I really enjoyed reading “Outdoor Life” and “Field and Stream.” These once-great magazines have devolved into something very perverted and grotesque…provided they’re still even around.

“Traditional Bowhunter” is, and has been for quite a few years, my only connection to informative and thoughtful outdoor journalism the way it used to be (heck, I’m only 52!)

Ben Franklin said “Never compromise your integrity for money.”

                                  You’re doing well!

Likewise, Larry. A very fun and productive weekend. Every time I get together with my BHA compatriots, I get re-energized.

                                      Crush the bastard!!
