Bear hunting was useless. I’ll go into details later but me and Tailfeather went to my good buddy’s property in Northeast GA and we did really well. This button head came into fifteen yards and I got a good shot on him. 65lb deer.
I saw a good few other deer but never got any other shots except on small fawns and passed them up.
Just had a really really good time with my buddy Tailfeather and our friend John.
My file attachment is too large and I have to figure out how to resize it on this apple computer. I’ll figure it out sometime.

Congratulations on a nice deer and a good hunt with good friends. All the best, dwc

Had a great time as always, Sean. One of those shoulders is going in the crockpot for tonight’s supper….thanks for sharing.
We both saw a good many deer, I passed up a few shots, and missed a nice doe. Or should I say, I killed a nice twig?!
All in all, hard to beat.

Bears or no bears, it sounds like you guys had a great time, and I’m sure that doe will be tasty!
Btw, to re-size photos on a Mac:
Open the image file using “Preview”
Once Preview is open, go to the “Tools” menu
Go to “Adjust Size”
And then you can change the size to whatever you want.

Nice work Etter 😀

Congratulations!
I got the drop on one mule deer near my cabin. Problem was there were so many spots on it I couldn’t “pick a spot.”
Truth be told it was no bigger than my cocker spaniel. With that many spots I figure it was way too young to shoot. It was fun being close to the little fella for a few minutes.

Good job! Were you on the ground or in a tree?
-
On the ground…always. I used to climb trees — no treestand, just climbed up in trees — when I was much younger in Missouri. But I can only remember taking one shot while actually in a tree.
I stillhunt almost exclusively. Lots of terrain features which can work for you, or against you, in SE Wyoming.

Don’t know who that question was pointed at but I’ll answer it as well. I was about 15 feet up in a loc on. I do all of my deer hunting from a tree and all my bear hunting on the ground. I know people regularly kill whitetails from the ground with a trad bow but it has gotta be tough!
Most of the places we hunt are so thick that you have to get a little elevation to see anything anyhow.

Well now, just to set the record straight… North Carolina is the Sweet Potato Capital of the World. That’s right. Take it in. But don’t be too jealous 8)
Oh yea, Nice Deer and Nice Picture! Strong work.

Come on, Steve….tell us a story and show some photos of those hunts.
