Come and join us at the Kenosha Bowmen for one of our longest running annual shoots on July 28th and 29th. Sorry, all you compound bow shooters – this one is only for the long bow and traditional shooters. So come out and try shooting the way your grandparents or parents used to, with no sights and no let down on the draw weight. Most of all come out for the fun.

This shoot features 28 life-sized 3-D targets set to simulate natural hunting distances using a string shoot format. Animal targets include deer, bears, elk, turkeys, moose and many other animal species.

Shooters will also be challenged by the string course. You will start along a string set out for each target, follow the string until you think you have your best shot and let it go. Just remember, this is a one-way string and you won’t be able to back up once you start.

The shoot begins both days at 7:30 a.m. It will end at 4 p.m. on Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The entry fees are $10 for adults 18 years of age and older and $3 for teens 14 to 17 years old. There is no charge for children under 13.

Traditional bow makers and vendors will be at the shoot, so come and see what they have to offer. Please call John Girardi at 847-623-2660 with questions.

The Kenosha Bowmen Club is located at 15211 75th St. (Highway 50), approximately two miles west of I-94 on the south side of the road.
