Just curious how many others are going? This will be my first one. Can’t wait!

I went a couple of years ago and it was a hoot … almost nonstop seminars, endless booths and products to check out, great folks to meeting, indoor shooting range. But as with all such events the food is very limited, lines long and prices high; I’d bring my own if possible. Except for the banquet of course. dp

I’m going. Be sure to stop by the TBM booth to get a free gift.8)

I looked at the schedule and our own joebuck (Joey Buchannan) will be doing a seminar, as well as Monty Browning. You don’t want to miss either of those guys. Should be a fun weekend.

I’ll be toting my wares back there. Stop by the Eclipse Broadhead booth and check out the Posi-Grip.

Durn, I can barely afford to go to the supermarket, so have some fun and buy some stuff in ol Bully’s “honor” while there. 😥 BB

They always have a good turn out, I love shooting all the bows and looking at the vendors booths!
                  See ya there.

I will be there with my son again this year. It is one of the highlights of the year for me.

Actually, the airline tickets to get there in 6 hours and 2 plane changes ain’t too bad for this short a notice. But realisticly I think I would need to plan for next year, maybe. And maybe next year Michigan will be having a heat wave instead of the coldest winter ever!

When is this expo or is it already past. If it is I’d like to know for next year. I have never heard of it before but Kalamazoo is only about 2 hrs from me. Thanks Zachary

Zach, The EXPO is coming to K-Zoo on Jan. 29,30&31. It’s at the fairgrounds of the east side of town.

Just left the expo. It was great to meet Robin, T.J, and others, and have one of those old-fashion verbal conversations. I had to practice at that out-of-date mode of communication on the way down there to make sure I didn’t sound like too much of a fool…it’s been awhile.

😳 Blake, I had intended to stop at your booth, but we ended up leaving a bit earlier than I had intended. Not without being put on the waiting list for a Shrew Classic Hunter AND another Northern Mist Baraga. Both takedowns.:shock::D

It was great to meet Patrick, his son and his friend. You did great at real conversation and never said LOL once! Thanks to all the other folks who stopped by and said how much they enjoy the site and the magazine. Always great to see friends.

I only took pictures at the Air Zoo (Blake made us go and we enjoyed that very much!) No pictures at the show, and I’ll be okay if I don’t hear a turkey call for a while. We were next to the NWTF booth and across from Cherokee Slim. Nice folks but dueling turkeys gets old after about 15 minutes 😆

The next show for me is Compton, but our calendar has lots of great shoots with vendors. Find one near you and go make some new friends.

                                            LO…I mean 😆

I really should change my signature to something more fitting, like:
“I’m so much cooler online” (a Brad Paisley song). Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m “cool” online either…just “cooler”.

I didn’t think to take any photos either. 😳

Tyler (my 10 year old son) absolutely LOVED the expo! After shooting the bows they had set up at the Michigan Longbow Association booth, he is absolutely hooked on traditional archery. He was waffling before the show.

Robin, I JUST used my free gift on my work monitor. I seriously didn’t realize how dirty it was! 😯 Thanks!
…AND I completely forgot to get some of your Crunch. 🙁

From the website photos, I wasn’t sure if I’d care for the shape of the Traditional Bowhunter ball caps (I’m very picky, even about ball caps). I was pleasantly surprised, as they’re shaped perfectly. I didn’t steal Tyler’s. He likes it too much (and more importantly, I like mine too).

Pothunter: This is my first show, so I have no experience. I’ll leave that to others.

My Dad and I had a great time. My one regret is that it was my little brother’s birthday and he goes to WMU. We only could stay until 3:00. Honestly I would have made some financial blunders if I would have stayed their longer.

Robin, it was so packed I didn’t even have a chance to say hello. I kept feeling like I was getting in the way at every booth. I already have a subscription and one of the new TBM hats so I was pretty much set! Awesome stuff!

Bummed I didn’t get to meet you Pat. I should have figured out a place to meet up with you. I didn’t think it was going to be that big!!!

I ended up coming home with a nice GFA wool pullover, one of those new Eclipse Posi Grips for my longbow, and 100 RW shield cut feathers. There was sooooo much stuff.

It was a trip to see the bows you hear so much about in person.

I have another Bama Longbow coming and was not in the market for a bow but it was fun none-the-less.

Yeah, I was hoping to meet you as well. We were going to go Saturday but my buddy wasn’t able to, so we went Sunday instead.

There must have been a HUGE difference in crowd size from Saturday to Sunday. I didn’t think it was busy at all on Sunday.

You wouldn’t have believed it. I was there from 9-3:00 and I couldn’t stop at a booth without getting claustrophobic. There were at least 10 people in line every time I wanted to try a bow.

Oh man, I wish you had stopped! It was very busy on Saturday, but a lot of the time it’s great folks stopping by to say hi. I know what you mean about the crowds. T.J. would bring me cold coffee that was hot when he poured it but too far away.

Friday is the best time to be there. Fewer lines and better selections. The Posi-Grip is very cool and I sat in T.J.’s new HuntMore stool every chance I got. It is really comfortable.

I am glad to be home but I have a little catching up to do. Tomorrow is ground hog day. How does that work again? If he see’s his shadow it’s six more weeks of winter…if he doesn’t it’s a month and a half! Either way spring is coming! 😀

This was my 3rd Traditional Bowhnters Expo in Kazoo. Since I live 1 hour away, it’s hard for me to miss it. I got to talk to T.J and Robin, Ron Laclair, Dale Quidort, Gene and Barry Wensel, Monty Browning, Gary Davis, and a bunch of other really cool people that I have only seen in videos or heard of!!! I am sooooo pumped right now even though it’s been 3 days since the event. I went Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and had a greeeeat (Tony the Tiger imitation)time meeting and talking with all the people. Everyone wo so willing to take the time to stop what they were doing and talk with me. It was a really cool thing. I’ll be there next year again for sure.Yeeeeeeeehaaaa! Ya gotta love it!

Man, I didn’t really get any pictures either. Just a couple of me and some friends. Next time!!

Joey’s seminar was really good and when he put on that 22″ beard and started a walkin’, well, he looked just like a turkey I missed last year.

Monty’s seminar was, well, I could listen to him tell stories for about a week of Sundays.

It was good to see friends like Robin and TJ. We never seem to have enough time together though.

I was working the Compton booth but didn’t meet any of you all who are posting on this thread.

                                                              Maybe next time.

I’ll be attending the Compton Rendezvous in June, maybe I’ll run into some of you there?

I may be able to come down on that Saturday with a friend and drive back or maybe I could get my Dad to come down with me and my Mom can make the trip and spend some time with her Granddaughter at home.
