General rules of thumb for Az.
(1) Animal populations in general are down due to prolonged drought.
(2) Bring some warm clothing. It can get colder than a mother-in-laws kiss at night / early morning.
(3) Optics are your friend. Sit with your back to the rising sun and mount your binoculars on a tri-pod. Glass, relocate & glass some more.
(4) Bring expendable stump shooters. Keeps the eye sharp and the muscles warmed up.
(5) Take a moment to enjoy our sunrises & sunsets.
Good luck & let us know how you do.

What Richard said, all good advice. Watch your security near the border.
I have not hunted 34-35, but hunted extensively in 29 ,28,21,32 with success in all. I Have not hunted SE AZ in some years , but for awhile there the javelina did not seem as numerous as before. Always a fun hunt , great winter camping ! I always enjoy knocking around in the desert….
Last time I went Coues deer hunting in the southern portion of the peloncillos ( boot heel of NM) I saw more Border patrol agents than deer…

sorry been back about a month have not been on the site in a while. Hunting in Patagonia was fun but could not find a Javie the whole month of Jan while hunting but my wife would see them all the time in town?? I saw a lot of nice bucks but no deer tag . Once the season ended I would see them every where . I had a lot better luck in the past hunting north of Tucson and Phoenix. Oh well still a great time and then all of Feb and March I saw javies every where ? Thats the way it goes always next year .
