No John, you’re not bloating, but merely sharing the joy. With my elk hunt done and my first whitetail hunt still two weeks away, I am seriously jealous. Enjoy, and make meat as you can.

Shoot straight my friend. Good luck and have a safe hunt. I don’t think you are gloating (or bloating 😆 ). You earned it.

I’m only about 15-20 miles So West of Blue Mt Lake, of course hour and half on the back roads which is fine with me! If there’s gotta be roads I like the small, windy, pretty ones 😀
Well guys, leaving “Our Woods” in the late am (named by our two sons as toddlers when they would always ask “when are we going to Our Woods Daddy? 😀 )
Deer everyday. Big owl perched on my barn each night. Coyotes singing each night but tonight ( rain maybe keeping them quiet?). Uncooperative trout but scenery too beautiful to mind. No good shots at anything I felt compelled to shoot at.
If my boys’ weren’t kicking off tomorrow night I wouldn’t be going anywhere….
Beauty of the whole thing?? I’ll be back up next week.

Sounds awesome! Reminds me of and old story by Gordon McQuarrie called “Nothing To Do For 3 Weeks”.
