Hello all. I spent so much money on compound gadgets that when I wanted to go traditional I didn’t want to shell out big bucks for fearbof being disappointed. I wound up with an InterNature TD Hunter recurve 58″ 45#. Has anyone ever heard of this? It’s a 3 piece takedown recurve. It seems pretty nice and easy to handle. It was a bit noisy so I put some silencers on it. Seems to have worked. Only other thing is that I do not shoot off of the shelf but off of a little wire spring arm doodad. I’m sure it has a name but I don’t know it. Only info I found about it is that it seems to be a Korean manufacturer. Lastly, how do I measure the string to get a replacement?

        Thanks,

        Alex

If I’m not mistaken (and I may very well be), InterNature bows were made my Samick. They were marketed under a bunch of different manufacturer’s names (PSE for example). That little wire spring arm doodad is called a flipper rest. Personally, that’s what I use. As far as strings are concerned, I would stay with B50 Dacron, because I don’t think they were FastFlight compatible. You could always take your existing string to an archery shop and have them spin another one. Otherwise, just tell them it’s for a 58″ AMO recurve.

Thanks for the info and tip. I am sure I will eventually upgrade as 45# just isn’t enough for some species. But for now I am really having a blast getting the hang of this. Thanks again.
