        Hi Folks,
        I came across a 1964? Bear Grizzly Left hand, 58″, 60# @ 28″
above the specs is 11CF113. I assume this is the serial number. It has the silver coin. It is absolutely mint.
Being a lefty myself, and having a semi-short draw on top of it, I know it is almost impossible to find a vintage Bear of this weight.
Anyway, could anyone help to date this bow for sure, and maybe make a guess at it’s value? I’d hate to ruin a true collectors item putting it through the things my other bows get during the various hunts I go on.
        Thanks.

Dating a bow can be tricky as can value. My limited education would give it a “Ebay” value of $250.00. The left hand feature can be both a blessing and a curse due to the reduced number of archers that would be interested in purchasing the bow. All Bear bows deserve to be shot! Shoot it and shoot it often.

          Good luck,

Zebra wood and brown glass, right? Kinda pointy riser at the shelf. 64-67 Grizzly was one of Bear’s best bows, IMO. Take care of it, but take it for a walk once in a while, too. I have a ’67 and I’m gonna hunt it.

in my opinion of over 35 years collecting experience…it is in fact a 1964 model. being lefty is is a scare bird and in 60#, even moreso. BUT only a small% of shooters are lefty and most collectors shy from lefty’s except me..:D

EBay unfortunately sets the tone on value and since our economy is in the crapper.. I would hold on to it until vakluse sgo up. Right now a mint 1964 Grizz in lefty at 60#…you would be lucky to fetch $175 on Ebay..but I hear german bidders are willing to pay astroniomical $ for US bows namely Bears. Sad, but true. We collectors like to keep em in the US
