On Feb. 5, the ID Traditional Bowhunters will host a “Traditional Day” in conjunction with their annual banquet. The location is Meridian/Boise. Vendors include Archery Past, Traditional Bowhunter Magazine (full staff will be there), Eclipse broadheads, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Don Thomas Books, and more. There will be a shooting area, seminars, social and dinner with speaker Norm Johnson. This event is a very welcome effort to replace the old TradBow West Expo that died a few years ago. I’ll be there and hope you can make it too. For more info and to reguster go to http://www.idahotraditionalbowhunters.com dave p

Where does the Trad expo west happen at and when? Being new to this stuff, I went to the International Sportsmans Expo here in Denver, and was disapointed with the lack of traditional Archery exibits.
-
Never mind. I guess if I read a little deeper, I would have gotten my awnser.

I am looking forward to this more than I can say. I really miss the old Trad West Expo, and I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who can make these events to go. Especially if you haven’t been to a traditional expo/redezvous/ get-together before.
Our (the Idaho Traditional Bowhunter’s, of which I am not on the board, but I am a member and I look forward to being more active once school is done) goal is to grow this into something similar to the old T.W.E.
And Dave, old friend, I am absolutely pumped that you are coming, can’t wait to catch up!

Great to hear of this event, I look forward to seeing many of you again and meeting others who I have only written to. I hope any “Shrew” owners will bring along their bows so that I may be able to try one since I won’t be making it out to any of the big shows back east:) Have a safe trip!

I’m looking forward to being there. I too miss the old Western Expo. I don’t mean to start any more rifts in the archery community (we’ve got enough of those already!) but life is different in the West. I’m not ashamed to admit that I like to talk about something other than climbing up into a tree and waiting for a whitetail to walk by. Bowhunting ought to make your legs hurt at the end of the day. See you all there! Cheers, Don

The Expo West was one of my favorite events, met a lot of good folks there.
TBofMT banquet is the weekend before so not sure I will make it this time. -
Ninja — ’bout time you showed up here! I’ms till getting good use from your armguard. See you there.
Idabow — I’d like to oblige, but asking to shoot one of my Shrews is equivalent to asking for a date with my wife! 😛 Rots of ruck on either!
See you all there, dave

Dave – like SteveMcd, I will be stuck in the Hudson Valley,NY. Wish you guys all the best out there.
Don – Some of us out east do have aching legs after a day of bowhunting too…usually from climbing in and out of tree stands..beat you to it. -
Looks like I’ll be able to make it down. Lookin forward to it.

Sounds like a great time, wish I could make it. Got my vacation time and money tied up in a south Texas javelina/hog hunt the following weekend. Keep us posted on the get together and maybe I can make the next one.

ledrich — welcome to Tradbow and I hope you stick around as we need all the humor we can get. We used to have Patrick to rely on, but then he got the big head and started charging for his autograph. After having just spent a lot of time in a tree for the first time in my life, I love your tree stand joke and wish I could think of good ones like that.
Looking forward to visiting with old friends and meeting new from I already feel I know from here. Indeed, a lot rides on the success and growth of this event, as it’s the only one of its kind in the West these days.
