My name is Kramer Ammons I build bows. I am no expert by any means. I have made 15 or so bows over the past 8 years. I have recently started making more and more bows. To go along with making bows I run a youtube channel about my experience bow making. What I am learning and the projects I am working on!
I see how a lot of you are very smart in these forms. I was wondering where you learned the information? I have read a couple bow making books and watched some videos online. Any advice on quality material to read on bowmaking? Books? Articles? Streaming? What is the best material? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your advice this community is awesome!!

Hi Kramer
Welcome to Tradbow.
I am not a bowyer and what little I know about the subject, is picked up thru the years talking to bowyers or “book learning” (sic). We have some members who are bowyers and others who “dabble” in the art. Hopefully they will comment on your post. I would use the “search the forum” engine ( above) to see past discussions of building bows, and or order past issues of tradbow that discuss same.
Our own Stephen Graf ‘s just finished book— on building the American Longbow is excellent and I highly recommend it —The American Longbow ( how to make one, and its place in a good life) by Stephen Graf – Ravens eye press.
Good luck on your bow building
