I joined a traditional group in my state

This is not a, hey come join this group. I had joined the Traditional Bowhunters of Montana and I must say, displeased. For my $15 membership, I got nothing. No magazine, decal or even a hat 🙄

I will however be joining Traditional Bowhunter Magazine ranks this next month, because at least I know I will be getting the best of the best for my money.

I just want to say thank you for being here, as we have a great resource and a wealth of information with many that are here, let alone David Petersen and Dr Ed Ashby.

BTW David, I’m reading your interview right now in last months copy of TBM.

Again, the BEST of the BEST here bar none.

Ask not what the Traditional Bowhunters of Montana can do for you…. Ask what you can do for Traditional Bowhunters of Montana!

Our Sport and heritage is not protected by hats and magazines, it is protected by people getting involved and the fellowship that involvement creates.

Want a hat, go to walmart. Want to hunt, join your bowhunter organization and get involved to protect and promote the sport. At the very least, give them your financial support.

Sorry for the rant. No disrespect intended.

Steve, they have but one event a year, the North American Longbow Safari, but I guess you should know to… my emails go unanswered and my point here was letting people know what they get here.

Hey, we here at Traditional Bowhunter appreciate the plug and your involvement here on the site. However, I’m a life member of the Traditional Bowhunters of Montana, an they have one heck of good banquet each January at Chico Hot Springs. A good place to meet others from Montana and great place to bring your significant other for a weekend of fun. If you have not received a newsletter since before the Longbow Safari, don’t feel bad nobody else has.
I would suggest that you give Billy Lewis a call 406-220-1837, and see what you can do to lend and hand in banquet planning and make plans to be there in January. See you there!

Larry thanks for the response. I had contacted our contact at TradGang but never got any response. Maybe you could enlighten me on why only longbows at Fawn Creek even for the Safari? And only wooden arrows with broadheads to be used at the Safari.

Never mind my last post, I got my answers from Larry Baker of TBofMT, and have more of an open prospective now. Sorry for the rant above in my original post.
