Don’t what was going on last night, but I had one of the weardest dreams I’ve ever had.
All I can remember was I was hunting and all of a sudden I had one of the biggest boars I had ever seen coming in to my setup. As I started to draw I noticed my bow felt like mush. It couldn’t have been pulling more than 10#. I remember letting down and trying again with the same results. I could feel my heart beating faster and faster. It was a shot of a lifetime and I’m sitting there with a bow that had no weight.
Thats when I woke up. It was so funny it was unreal until I noticed my heart was really beating like crazy.
Can’t say what would have caused this. Must have been something I ate lastnight.
Now I’m wondering if I’m the only one to ever have a dream like this.
Anyone else????

Troy,
I have one similar to that…but it is work related. I get into a gun fight with the bad guys but my weapon doesn’t work or the bullets have no effect. Talk about a bad day at the office! I think that is why I am always checking and cleaning my weapons to ensure they work and are loaded. Funny what dreams can cause you to do.Brennan

I dreamt I was born 8-1/2 months premature.

Well, atleast this tells me I’m not the only can of planters in the house.:D
Still, after it was all over I did have a good laugh (to myself). Also, just to make sure, this morning I did string up my bow and doublecheck.:P

I rarely remember mine — but the few I did were just a flash of recognition and gone, they were kinda scary — I think I prefer not being able to recall dreams!

Used to have a re-ocurring dream of a pie-bald buck. I was hunting on family land with my .45 muzzleloader and can never get my sights on the deer. He always gets away. Then I had a real life experience with an 8 pointer (non-pie-bald) me and 2 friends jumped walking in to help look for a deer one of them had shot at. I whistled and he stopped. I was using the .45 that day. I could see his head and rump but the vitals were obscured by a tree and my friends could not see him at all. I moved to try a differnt angle and he bolted. After that no more dream.

Troy, sounds like what you ate last night were those funny mushrooms. 😆
Bruce — born 8.5 months early — no wonder you won’t show us a picture of yourself! 😛

David,
The wife did make a big pot of beef stew that night and I did kinda pig out on it. I did notice when I was getting ready for bed that I kinda looked like a snake that had sollowed an egg.

Several years ago during hunting season I had a dream that I had a shot on a cow elk and the arrow kept falling off of the arrow shelf when I reached full draw. After a while the elk just looked at me like I was an idiot and walked away.
I havent gotten close enough to an elk since to see if my dream was prophetic.Josh

I once had a dream that a big bull came in to the spot I most often hunt. He looked at me and for some reason we “clicked” and I put my bow down and got up and walked to him and put my hand on his back and he led me through the woods to a clearing … where sat a brand new trophy home. Psychology calls these “anxiety” dreams. Alas, in my case it (the trophy home part) came true. ::(
