        Stoned some carp yesterday. One toad is about 25-30lbs.

          That’s a nice bunch of fish. Did you shoot them from a boat or from the shoreline?

            From a bass boat. My friend built an elevated platform to look and shoot from.

              New to this site ,but I bowfish too. Do you have any of the bigheads or silver carp in your area?They are trouble here in Iowa.

                I have no idea if we have bigheads or silvers. Is there an online site which lists all the species? The carp here seem to have few predators, if any. We don’t need a fishing license to take them and there is no limit on them.

                    I have seen some spotted ones like that before in the water. However I am not sure if they are the bighead carp but my guess is, yes.

                      Very Neat, Ray! What a great way to spend a summer day! One of my future outings I would like to bowfish for Rays on the New Jersey coast some day.

                        Good job8) I was bowfishing at night with a lantern, but since switching to day shift I can’t stay up that late:?
                        You would know if you had bigheads because they destroy a fishery. They will leap way out of the water on hearing the boat and people have been seriously hurt by them

                          There was no attack by out of water carp. Thank god. Although it might be entertaining as well. Think flying targets 😈

                            I have seen shows where they shoot arrows at them as they fly by. Last summer there was a contest near Chicago where almost anything was allowed. The winner got his by swinging a 2×4:shock:
