I agree. Back in another lifetime when I was building hi-lines the great big poles (big around, height not a problem) got passed on to the jr. guys. I learned early on that getting up a big around pole is way easier than coming down it. You could extend your safety length and get started and in awhile when you could get a handle on the pole, get the safety out of the way and go. Reversing that don’t work for bueno****. Find a smaller tree.
