7th Age Bowhunting is in Texas. I have not hunted there but have heard a lot of great things about Curtis and his outfit.

You beat me to it. I was just about to post the same question. Thanks, and I’ll read your responses vicariously:wink:.

I AM FROM LOUISIANA AND PERSONALLY HAVE KILLED MANY SEMI WILD HOGS WITH A GUN AND 5 WITH A LONGBOW.NOW HERE IS WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WERE A NORTHERN YANKEE OR UDDER NON HOG BEARING STATE.I WOULD NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT GIVING MY MONEY TO A GUY WHO BUYS HOGS AT A SALE BARN.SOME YEARS BACK A FELLER BAUGHT THE LARGE LOT OF WOODS IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE I WOULD HUNT SQUIRRELLS IN THESE WOODS BUT HE RUINED THAT BUT ANYWAY HE HAD ALL SORTS OF EXOTICS IN HIS HIGH PEN OF OBOUT 150 TO 200 GIVE OR TAKE ACRES.AS IS THE CASE IN MORE AND MORE PLACES HE BAUGHT HAOGS AT A SALE BARN THOSE HOGS WERE WILD, MOST OF THEM ANYWAY, THEY WERE TRAPPED AN HOUR OR SO FROM THERE IN THE COASTAL MARSHES REGION OF THE STATE WHERE THERE WERE HOGS FOR AS LONG AS WE CAN REMEMBER LONG STORY SHORT IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTAIN WILD HOGS IN IN A PEN INCOMPASSING THAT AMOUNT OF ACERAGE AND THERE ARE NOW WILD HOGS IN EVERY DIRECTION FOR 15 MILES OF THAT PLACE.MY ADVICE IS TO CONTACT THE CONSERVATION DEPARTMENTS OF GEORGIA OR ALABAMA OR MISSISIPPIE OR LOUISIANA AND FIND OUT WHERE THE LARGES AMOUNT OF DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE TO PROPERTY IN THAT AREA.OTHER THAN THAT THE ONLY PLACE I CAN THINK OF TO SEND A PERSON IS A PLACE CALLED CAT ISLAND LOUISIANA IM NOT SURE AS I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MANY PEOPLE THAT THERE ARE PLENTY OF WILD HOGS THERE IT SHOULD BE CLOSE TO ST FRANCASSVILLE{ NOT SURE ABOUT THAT SPELLING} LOUISIANA. CAT ISLAND IS A PUBLIC PLACE.PERSONALLY I WOULD TRY CONTACTING EACH OF THE LISTED STATES FIRST.YALL ARE NOT ME MAYBEE YOU WOULD PREFER TO PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS GET FED A GREAT MEAL EACH NIGHT AND MAYBEE HUNT A WILD PIG OR AS IN MY EXPERIENCE A RELEASED PIG IN ANY SENCE IF YOU ARE WILLING TO BE PACIENT AND CONTACT EACH OF THOSE STATES I GUARANTEE YOU CAN HUNT PIGS WITHOUT PAYING ANYONE.THE IDEA OF A PAID HUNT DISGUSTS ME

Hog “hunting” operations run the gambit from high-fence tame pigs (like seen in “non-hog” states like Illinois) to free range wild animals. Make sure you ask a lot of questions in advance to ensure that the ranch meets your desires.
There are no doubt countless excellent hog hunting services and ranches out there, but the only first-hand experience I have is with 7th Age Bowhunting, and they are 100% free range wild hogs (no high fences anywhere at any time).

In and around Pearsall Texas are some great outfits, the YO Ranch in Moutain Home, and the 777 Ranch in Hondo are all great choices. Google “Pearsall Texas Hog Hunts”. I used to work on a feedlot in Pearsall and shot a literal ton of hogs while I was there.
