Hi eveyone, does anyone else have problems with the aluminum inserts popping out of carbon arrows? I know they’re properly installed (kustom king archery did them), any tips? Or should I just switch to wood arrows!? Thanks for any tips

Most folks use super glue to put inserts in because it is fast and easy. They usually get the results you have experienced.

Wrap 40 or 60 grit sandpaper around a small screwdriver. Put it in the end of your arrow and twist around to roughen up the surface. Then clean with alcohol.

do the same with the inserts. Then get some good epoxy, or bohning insert glue (24 hour kind). Glue them up.

          Should fix your problem.

I use a rifle bore brush .270 caliber for my 5/16 id carbon arrows to ruff up the inside of the shaft. Then the alcohol on a q-tip to get it clean. I have been using Bohning Insert Iron to glue the inserts. Just a thought.
