Hey Jordan — that’s too big a question to respond to here. What you need is a good book on basic wood arrow set-up and tuning, of which several exist, and lots of articles as well. I’ll leave it to others here to make suggestions. My one hint is that if you’re mostly interested in elk, don’t restrict yourself to cedar only, as many other woods exist that are heavier and strong and thus far better for big tough crits like elk.
