So, how do you hang yours? Lets see ’em.

        Heres, mine.

It’s made of a slab of wild cherry a buddy gave me. I cut up some broken shafts for the hangers and installed nocks for fun.

That’s a nice display Duncan! I just have pegs and nails here and there with bows on them. So nothing worth a picture.

Well, my system of hanging them in a room with carefully controlled temperature and humidity, with custom hangers, is worth a picture. 😉

                Very nice, Moe!

Eidsvolling – I’d love to hear more about your system, particularly a source for those exotic cords with the hooks on them? …8)

Not much to show for me – mine are all stored in socks, on hooks in the ‘man cave’ with the rest of the arsenal.

And a arrow rack as well!

OK, I think Moebow takes the neatness award. Now I gotta know what Moe does to store his arrows and quivers. I mean this is art!

I have limited space in my new to me man cave so I have to leave the quivers on but it is clear that hanging without quivers definitely shows off the bows much better.

Smithammer, I’m thinking Eidsvoling’s system is more about the copper waterline those suspenders are hooked to. Maybe some sort of “cathodic” protection? 😀

Skinner, before I went and bought these other bows I hung mine similar to yours. It was a shop class gun rack I made in High School. I still have it somewhere.

My selfbows are in a cabinet modeled after one I saw in an archery magazine back in the late 80’s or maybe early 90’s. The article called it an “Ascham” if I remember correctly after the inventor, Roger Ascham?? If I show that off I’ll have to clean it out first.

Not an elegant set up, not a great pic, but the bows are easy to grab for a quick practice session in the yard.

This is a great thread. I’ve been hitting the local thrift stores looking for an old wooden gun rack or something similar. I found something today that will work until I find or make something I really like. I have this “new to me” Black Widow who deserves something better than hanging from one of my deer racks. 😀

I doubt a beautiful bow could deserve more than hanging from an old deer rack Bunyan.:D
