hello i am fairly new here and really need some help with a topic that has probably been asked many times before.I purchased a doublebull recurve matrix and really for the money i spent for it never really gave it much of a chance.I love the idea of it being able to sit comfortable and move but not be seen, just feel i dont know if im set up right at the times i use it.my question is has anyone here ever killed deer from one and what was your set up?please help i really love the blind .thanx

I actually use mine for wildlife photography more than hunting because I like to enjoy more mobility with my bow in my hand, but the principles are the same. Paradoxically–given their great vision–the species least likely to shy off the blind are turkeys and antelope. They just don’t pay much attention to it even when it’s out in the open. Deer will certainly approach within good bow range, but you will need to break up your outline by backing the blind into some brush or terrain structure. Don

I’m with Mr. Thomas: I can build a brush blind most anywhere in just a few minutes and don’t have to take it down and haul it off with me when done. To me, so much of what is considered “essential” hunting gear these days is more an albatross than an aid. Different strokes … Snuffs
