Which one and why? I’m looking for some an not sure which ones to get. Who likes which one and why?

Oh yeah, I shoot wood. Make my own shafts, ash, hickory and poplar usually. Sometimes with a 2 wing ipe footing. Thanks all.

In regards to strength and less likely to get damaged. The Tuffhead wins. then grizz then tusker.
Ease of sharpening tuffhead wins again. The newer grind grizzly makes them not a problem and I would say either them or tuskers would be really close.
The Tuffheads cost more but they are better all around imo. Ive shot the standard 160 grizz with great success thou. In my shooting into hard objects and weird angles to find weak points in broadheads it faired better then the grizzly elgrande and the tusker concorde. If you go with either of them I recommend changing the tips to more of a point especially if you hunt out of a tree. While the tuffhead is ready to go.

I assume we are talking about the Tusker Concord? If so, I’m with L82HUNT right down the line. The Tuffheads are expensive, the Tuskers a relative bargain, and the new Grizzlies, if they ever get on the shelves, are unbelievably cheap, at least for now … thus, if economy is an issue I’d go with the Grizzly over the Tusker, though both are excellent. But the Tuffhead is money well spent, unless you take long wild shots and lose lots of arrows. 😛 Aside from the Tuffhead’s excellent factory sharpening, overall Ashby-quality design (high MA) and toughness, I love the long slender shape that won’t windplane even in wind, and they’re a thicker head than either the Grizzly or Tusker. And for single-bevels the thicker the head the wider the bevel shelf and the greater the torque, esp. going through bone. YOu can hardly go wrong with any of these three great heads but I’m a Tuffhead guy until something better comes along for less money, and I’m not holding my breath. Shot plumb through a bull elk with one last year (from a 53# bow) and hope to repeat this year with wood arrows rather than carbon.

Thanks all. I’m leaning towards the tuffheads though the cost is a bit high. I don’t take long shots and my shafts are around 23/64 so the tuffhead seems to be the way to go.
I shoot a 53 pounder as well though the blacktails here in CA don’t need a 300gr head IMO. They could use some more antlers though:lol:

I decided on the tuffheads simply because I havent seen a poor review and they are ready to ship, unlike the grizzlies.
Thanks all

That makes your choice simple; the TuffHead. It has a larger ferrule diameter than the others, which will be what you’ll need to maintain a good ferrule diameter to shaft diameter ratio with those shafts.
