        Help me decide…

I’m torn between a Great Plains SR Swift TD and a Pittsley Predator.

I admit, I am a speed freak… even with recurves, but smoothness and quitness are also important.

I have a 30″ draw (52 lbs.) and don’t wan’t a heavy stacking bow due to my draw length.

I have no access to try out either of these bows, so I’m hoping to get lot’s of opinions/info here.

I don’t mind a bit larger grip, so that isn’t a big problem either. I do, however, really like the looks of the GP SR Swift. Anybody ever chronied this bow?

        Thanks all.

You might give each company a call and ask them to chrono their bows with your particular arrow weight at your draw length and draw weight.

My guess is they would either have the info already, or be willing to get the data for you.

Blacky Schwarz has reviewed bows by both bowyers. Below are the issues that each review was published in. If you don’t have these back issues, they are available for $5 each, but you might try Blacky’s site, http://www.bowreports.com, first to see if he has posted the reviews there. I think either one would be a fine bow.:D

I own a couple of Great Plains bow, one a longbow and one a recurve although not the Swift. I have spent quite a bit of time shooting a friends Swift. They are all great shooing bows and while not an official speed test the Swift certainly seems, well swift. I too have a draw leignth of 30″ and didn’t notice any stacking. I had an issue with my recurve once and sent it back for repair, they took care of it without any questions.
I have no experience with Predator Bows but am sure they make a good bow as well.
