Built this for my grandson’s Christmas present. It’s a 3-piece takedown bow with the limb attachment bolts coming in from the riser into hidden t-bolts mounted in the limbs. To my eye it gives a cleaner line than the typical setup when the limb bolts stick above the limbs. The riser is cocobolo sandwiched between redheart. The white on the back side is bison rib bone and the limb tip is bison horn. The limbs have been skinned with timber rattlesnake. It’s 60 inches nock to nock and 48 lbs at 28″. Shoots pretty good. I did keep the riser beefy just because I know my grandson or maybe I just remember myself at that age. Everything on this was overbuilt to take some abuse. The lams are all maple basketball court flooring.

Wow. What a lucky kid. You have chosen an interesting combination of wood, bone and snake skin. I hope he appreciates it. Merry Christmas!

Not only is he lucky, if he shoots a 48 lb bow, he must be pretty close to going hunting with his Gramps!

            Maybe grandpa is lucky too…

            Beautiful bow.
