Today, home sweet home. And the big stuff usually doesn’t come until March.

We have had more snow this year than in quite some time. Got this picture a few weeks ago.

Dave, it is good to see that you and C still have your heads above all this snow. What a storm, I can’t help but think of the elk, deer, and especially the turkeys. Tough winter down here!

Nice photo, swp. Title suggestion: “The end of the road”.8)

Dave, that house looks vaguely familiar. 😉

And here we are in the tropics of NW Montana with no snow. Frosty this morn but sunny and should be close to 50 this afternoon. I’ve seen nightcrawlers, bugs, and the grass is starting to green up. Tulips and daffodils are coming up.

Dave, what is your annual snowfall?

Dave- Looks like a cabin somewhere outside Fairbanks, Alaska! El Nino-ed here in the PNW- frosty morns with a high in the low 60’s- and everything is abloomin’. Wife already has the springtime honey-do list well in hand…..sigh!!
Stay warm and don’t get too many snow-shovel blisters.
                    Best-Bert

For rent CHEAP: December through April, tiny SUMMER cabin at 8000′ in the lovely Colorado Rockies! Cut your own 6 cords of firewood to see you through. Bring many snowshovels and candles. Often can’t get out — and far more often can’t get back in — for days at a time. Electricity doesn’t go out as often or for so long as it used to … but bring plenty of candles anyhow. Inquire at: “RUserious.com”:evil::roll::shock:

                        Dave,
did you have to dig a tunnel to the woodshed? Yeah, I’d be ready for that snow to be gone soon.

                        SWP,
Cool pic. Owl or Hawk? I’m guessing owl from the rounded wing tips and short tail.

                        Found a good use for a 4 wheeler….

Trust me, you better have a good grip on the line when she takes off! And a little extra wax on the sled runners!

Got Snow…? Just a few inches today. Wet heavy stuff, so I got the snowblower out to get it up. Otherwise it’ll freeze overniight. And a real son of a gun tomorrow. Of course, wouldn’t you know, I just got finished and the county snow plow just came by! I swear he hides around the corner and just waits for me to finish! Oh well, another 16 to 20 tomorrow. With any luck hopefully I won’t have to shovel the roof yet anyway.

Dave, your little cabin description reminds me
of Jack Nicholson in The Shining

Compaired to above I guess we do not have snow.:D We have about 10 inches on the ground. Going to get to -2 tonight. Up here in the northwoods if the groundhog sees his shadow and they say that we have six more weeks of winter, we cheer and say great! only six more weeks of winter.:)
