Howdy Guys, I haven’t been on here in awhile. I killed this doe Sunday. It was about a 10 foot shot, she only ran 20 yards…very lucky, in that my shot was high, and could have been a problem. I have been shooting those big 200 grain Ace heads though, and it cut the artery that runs along her spine. It could have been an ugly tracking job.

Thanks. It’s a Shrew Li’l Favorite

Big congrats, Roger. And having just read your post on ethics, I’m glad to see that “getting your meat right” didn’t get in the way. And no surprise. I had a Lil Favorite for a while and it was a sweetheart, but my short longbow instincts drove me back to the Classic Hunters. Gregg Coffey, the master-bowyer behind both, is reaching out and working on several new designs right now to market through is Java Man website. And I thought I’d bought my last bow! Like your camo too. 😀

Thanks Dave, we have a mutual friend in Gregg. he is a good man, and speaks highly of you. I hope to share a cigar and tin cup of Jameson with you someday.
I did get complete penetration. I am forever amazed how a simple stick and string can drive an arrow completely through flesh and bone. Traditional archery gear is so efficient, I am not sure why anyone bothers with anything else. 😀

Nice deer Roger. And thanks for thew nice compliments gentlemen. I’m working a shorter version of my Tanjavur now. A 54″ and 56″ hybrid LB named “Inferno”. Jody has #2 to test for me. #3 is a little better and hopefully #4 will be the grand slam….or at least an inside the parker.. sorry, I love baseball too!
