Ok ………………. we’ll try this again;
I shoot a glove ………….. and like it to fit, like a glove. NO movement or sliding around like I sometimes get with Neatsfoot oil. The glove that I use is a homemade harness with elastic straps holding Neet Finger Stalls. Keeps everything tight.
Sometimes I have more spare time than I do common sense so I tried dabbing my glove fingers in a bit of boot grease before putting the glove on. This showed promise. Next I got ahold of a Rosin bag like the ball players use, clipped the corner of it and added some to the boot grease & mixed it in. That gave the glove a tackiness that welded the leather to the fingers. It also seems to be lubing the leather from the inside out.
Not sure if it actually makes a difference or not but the arrows seem to be coming off a bit cleaner and flying a bit better. The glove just feels like a part of my hand now. A suggestion has been made to try bowstring wax and that might work also. Or possibly that really sticky toilette bowl wax seal. Things to try never end.

Finally ….haha
I have not tried the glove grease / bees wax method , but will experiment. I get my gloves from American leathers ( buffalo /bison) and they have built a medium strap and large fingers glove for me .. The large size is tight on my fingers and the medium back/ strap, keep the finger portion from slipping forward on release.
I have modified gloves in the past ( I can work / sew leather) to fit better ….
