The weather gave me a few minutes to do a little testing today. Could not wait any longer. I had to see how the “Fronkinsteen” shaft flew.:D

I’ll let you decide. First shot was at ten yards.

As you can see it impacts the target pretty straight. This is a full length 31.5″ shaft. I have not even thought about making any cuts.

As you can see from the closeup of the hole, it shows nothing in the way of anything other than straight impact.

        There is however,,, one problem….

I want be able to shoot at the center of my target any more.

The center of the target has been shot quite a bit, but is in no way shot up enough to stop any normal weight and FOC shaft or arrow.

“Fronkinsteen” is a different story however..:D:D:D

After taking a few pics of my first shot, I did alot more shooting. Any distance from 10- 32yds is the same. Straight and clean.

        BTW, 32yds is point on.

Troy very nice did you change your centre shoot from your normal set up.

With all the bits added to then end of the arrow do you think you could hunt with it .

                    Shane,

I finally gave in to Ed and built out my sight window. I tried and tried, but wasn’t able to get anything above 26% EFOC with the sight window cut past center. My bow is now 1/8″ to 3/16″ before center. I’ll look up the picture of it and post it in a minute.

You think you are??? I wish I could have had a pic of my face when I saw what it did on the first shot. Those pics are from my first shot. Not one that was fifteen minutes after warming up.:D

I’m anxiously awaiting the next update. You are in uncharted water with this arrow. I was very impressed with the flight of those ‘primitive’ (obviously non-traditional) PNG arrows, and the penetration they achieved. What that is going to mean when translated to our ‘more modern’ components I can only imagine.

I hate to mess up the edge on one of my new 300gr Tuffheads, but my next test will be to see if “Fronkinsteen” will fly and carry the head like the PNG arrows did without fletching.

Did my layup for the broadhead to test flight without feathers. Want have to worry about messing up the edge of my new Tuffheads.

Gonna use one of my 200gr griz with an extra woodie weight and a lower weight adpt. The length will be longer, so my FOC may very well be even higher. Want know until I test a fieldpoint I made up the same way.

                                Futher news later.
