        All,
I have been a trad bow hunter for about 10 years and subscribe to the magazine. Unfortunately, I cast my old issues upon the office waters so others can appreciate the pursuit. My archaeologist daughter has a boyfriend (also an archaeologist) interested in flint napping, as well as bow and arrow crafting. Can someone direct me to past issues with articles on these subjects?

All but one in our company are bowhunters. I haven’t yet convinced anyone to give up their pulleys, but I’m working on it.

        Thanks,
        Jim

Jim — I’ll take bets, based on past performance, that our beloved Webmother, Robin, will be along soon with just the info you need. Meanwhile, welcome to the tradbow house, a fun and enlightening place to hang out. Homer

Am I that predictable? I am always happy to help, but sometimes it is in two hours and sometimes it is two days before I see the post. 😳

You are in luck. Dick Robertson wrote an article Knapping 101 in the Dec/Jan 2005 issue. We have it in digital format because it is a sold out issue, so I have made it available in the Download Library under Knapping 101. It is available to all members.

Jim, we also have a TBM Index in the Download Library that lists all the articles we have published. You can search for flint-knapping and bow building articles. Both subjects are often too detailed to cover in a short article so I would also check your favorite traditional supplier for books or videos.

            Good luck,
