After a lifetime of wanting to switch to trad, I finally made the commitment last year. I killed this 3.5 year old doe in mid-september of last year. What a morning! It’s one of those things I’ve been wanting to do my whole life.

Since I’m new here, I thought I’d post a bragging photo.

Nice Doe. Love to hear about success stories, especially when switching from a high strength steel, factory manufactured cable and wheel aiming contraption (toungue-in-cheek of course as I started with a Matthews device myself 10 years ago).:D

You will have many, many more rewarding seasons, making your own tackle, and experimenting with methods to take game. Congratulations and enjoy the woods.

Good stuff! I bagged my first last year as well.

Need more story though. I think I speak for most of us here when I say we all love a good hunting yarn.

Good Job ! that means there is still hope for a 55 year old Ariz hunter who has 5 elk hunts and seven deer hunts and only one small squirrel to show for them ! 😆
