        Today I made my first traditional kill. A nice doe. I hit her and little hi and a little back. She fell down when the arrow and her back legs never worked again. An extra arrow through the lungs finished her off. My son being a few yards away in another tree stand was a highlight. Thats two deer for the freezer. The rest will likely go to Hunters for the Hungry.

                  Nice work. Does are good eating. You cannot eat horns and a doe can be just as hard to sneak up on as a buck. Congratulations.

                        Thanks all! We’re looking to do even better next year! We’ve had some old family friends invite us to hunt on their 1200 acre Kansas farm! I want to shoot a lot of 3D this year!

                          well, I just realized that you have accomplished something that I have never done! I have not taken a doe yet:shock:, or course since dad and I are the only ones that eat venison, we only really need a deer a year. So I have only harvested two deer! But our stupid buck only season is driving me crazy, I could have put at least 5 different does in the freezer. And couldnt 😥
