Just wanted to say hi. I’m a friend of “Kingwouldbe” and he invited me to check out this site. I just finished reading the Dr’s post on sharpening. Well at a trad shoot last weekend, King gave me a great lesson on how to sharpen a Grizzly BH. He like I really enjoy the Info/tech side of archery and are open to new/better ways of doing things. We have both been at this for over 20+ but are willing to learn new things. KingWouldbe (Dave) and his buddy Vance have taken more game with a bow and arrow than anybody I ever know or heard of. They are both willing to take the time to give back to our sport. I look forward to learning and sharing from/with this forum. I just won a guided elk hunt next year and I’m sure I’ll be asking a few question from all of you that have taken elk with a bow.

        Take care.

Welcome aboard from some old coot in Indiana, Mark!

I’ve always liked the simplicity of traditional bowhunting but do have to admit the Ashby Report got wheels turning and I’m enjoying every minute of it.

Kudos to Kingwouldbe and friends for going that extra mile too!

          God Bless

Welcome Mark. Glad to see you here. If all goes well, I hope that this site will be the place where we can begin to assemble both the information on equipment selections that reduce wounding/loss rates and get enough of a volumn of feedback from folks all over about what is working, and what is not working, to be meaningful.

Howdy from another Mark, I’m new to the site as well and new to traditional archery. There’s some great information on here, a little overwhelming at times, but I’ve enjoyed reading some great posts here. Take care, Rocks (Mark).

                    hello,
from one of the young guns on this site, there are only a few of us!! Again like patrick said, fellow guitar player!!! Something magical happeneds when you have just spent a great day in the woods and you come back to camp and pluck around on the old guitar! Congrats on the elk trip(lucky:D), an elk hunt is my dream! You will find anything possible that you need awnsered on this site, anything from basics like an exellent blood trailing article by Mr. Steve Mcd or some more controversial topics! I always post some little videos on here, for all to enjoy, just a 18 year old kid, with a camera and a stick chasing whatever I can.
                    greetings from Maryland
                    Chris
