This is a wild diversion from anything worthy of serious discussion, but the tv show Finding Bigfoot has to be the greatest wilderness show ever made. Next time I go hunting I want be wearing a “Gone Squatchin” truckers hat 😀

I should point out that if ever you have the opportunity to purchase episodes on dvd or something, don’t! But if a friend has already wasted money on it, enjoy. It’s a wonderful lesson in self delusion 😛

And here I was looking forward to talking about http://www.bigfootbows.com/
but we got a tv show.:D

ski, I’ve been disappointing people for many years now, I’m glad I can continue that trend here 😛

I’ve seen that show. Delusion or delusional is the correct description. 😆

That’s funny !
Calls to mind what a friend did back right after that da’gum first movie came out ,,,’bout ’73 or so.
This boy was about 6’5” in the 10th grade . More legs than torso ,which gave him a looong stride at a walk , let alone runnin’. He found some 1/2 inch plywood and cut out 2 gigantic pieces to mimmick the track of BIGFOOT. Then he put on his chestwaders and carried the two print/boards to the creek. He tied the boards to the bottom of his boots and eased down into a hole of water near a long and clean sandbar . End result looked like this giant came walking up out of this pool to cross the sandbar , and then entered the water again . Then longlegs goes back to the house and calls a couple of the guys that saw the movie with himself. They show up and he leads them down to the creek for some 22 shooting , not telling them anything about the tracks . You got it . He wanted them to find the tracks .
Them boneheads talked bigfoot non-stop for 3 months ,,,,ol’ longlegs just grinning and always provoking thought .

mhay, hilarious!
I was of the opinion that these guys were simply harmless, excited and delusional until I saw the Australian special. They said they were in the remotest jungle in Aus, when they were actually in what I suspect is Australia’s least remote rainforests. They were in national parks I went on school camps in. You can hardly walk 100 yards without running into someone. So at least on that one they were just lying through their teeth on the most basic facts 😕
Then they got recordings of ‘unknown origins’. Unknown to them because none of them had been down under before. Silly fellows. I have heard some truly terrifying animal calls in the bush, but as everything is backwards and topsy turvy here, the scariest noises come from the cutest animals. Possums scream like banshees when they fight and koalas have a pretty mean growl.
I found a 35sec youtube that illustrates the point 🙂

mhay,
That’s great! 😆 I was never quite that elaborate, but one time a buddy of mine made the mistake of telling me where he set up his game camera 😯 . Let’s just say he didn’t make that mistake ever again 😈 . LOL.
Just to keep on topic, what kind of broadhead would you use on a bigfoot? ❓
Be well.
Alex

A blunt, because if bigfoot yells out “what the F#$%” you know you just shot a guy in a ghillie suit 😆

😆 LOL!!! 😆
THAT’S Funny!
Y’all talkin’ from experience? 😉

Ha ha! I have often thought that myself! If I can find a thumbs up icon to put with the smilies I’ll see if I can make that available. Not making any promises . Remember, it won’t work like that other social media site… It will just be another smilie.

Murray — Right on! Failing that, a Werewolf might get it done, you think?

I knew a computer-savy guy who’d take the cards out of people’s game cams, bring them home to his computer, and photoshop things into the photos, then replace the card without anyone knowing. The only one I can remember now is he photoshopped Bigfoot into one of them. I can just imagine the surprise on the faces of unsuspecting folks. Kids these days.

Hang on Dave.. you’re opposed to using hounds on lions, but treeing a sasquatch with werewolves is fine is it?
Oh I see… werewolf.. the broadhead… for a second there I thought we were talking about a mythological creature 😉

Is that Dave??????

Bahaa…that is awesome. I wonder how many of those pics ended up getting called in to game mgmt. agencies.
