First, I would like to thank those of you that helped me with my arrow issues. I finally got up off my hip pocket, and purchased some carbon arrows a few weeks ago. I was going to install brass inserts, but decided to wait on that. I did however take a 3 1/2″ piece of air tube and put 3 1/2″ piece of all thread inside that. I put epoxy on the tube and inserted it behind the aluminum insert. I also took one of my old 2117 shafts and cut it also into 3 1/2″ pieces and used those for footings. This, along with using a 150gr head, has given me an EFOC of 25%. I am unsure of total arrow weight as of this time, however by estimate, I am over 550gr on a 28″ arrow. I honestly can’t believe the way these things fly. I was truly shocked. At 20yds and beyond my arrows where all over the place, and now, I am holding six arrows tight on a six inch pie plate.
I can tell you that from now on, I will be toying with arrow weight because this is awesome. I will however have to wait till after spring next year, as all my money is tied up in airline tickets and out of state hunting license from three different states (ouch). But, I guess we all have to pay to play, and guy’s, It’s time to play the game! Thanks again to all that helped, I wish y’all the best of luck in the field and in all you do. – Chris -

Thanks Troy,
Boy you ain’t kiddin, it is a lot of fun and really addictive. Its like the crack cocaine of archery:shock:. I can’t believe it has taken me all these years to do this. I can’t stop thinking ” what if I where to do this, or that.” If there is anyone out there not doing this, They should be. Chris

Yep,
It’s pretty cool. Watching the shafts, then arrows, work there way to center, bit by bit, is very rewarding. The whole time you also have to really pay attention to your form and consistency. The entire process makes you a better archer. I might not be the best, but I’m better than I was! thanks, d -
There is no better feeling than see an arrow fly true to it’s mark. Glad you got them all worked out!!! Good luck this season.
