Finally—back in the fold

Been a while, but I’m finally back in the 21st century or at least connected with internet.

Moved to TN and it’s been a thrill a minute! Moving alone has some hiccups.

Finding docs as a Sr. Citizen can be daunting…still don’t have most of what needed…they make you fill out ap here and then decide…most aren’t taking new this time of year.

Moved South and had 2 snows and blitz cold so far! LOL:shock:

Lost all hunting season i t appears…heard TN requires 90 day for resident and it’ll be a memory till then… se le vie.

Good to be back though…

Glad to hear you are getting settled in.

Not being able to hunt for this season will keep you from sitting still in one spot in the woods. Now you will have time to scout, get permissions, meet some other hunters around you, etc.

Won’t be long and it will all be normal and feel like home.

Thanks for the warm reception.

I don’t think I could begin to retell this tale of resettlement!

Suffice it to say that after a hard week unpacking and setting up a couple rooms, all I’ve done for the past few weeks is look for doctors taking medicare (got kicked to the curb 3 x) and try to get Medicare related insurance settled. Yesterday, I finally got a doc, not one highly recommended by my few contacts here, but they take new patients and on Medicare… something ugly is afoot. Had I know it would be this hard on just medical related issues, I might have eschewed to move!:shock:

TN game laws are pretty complicated on the website. I’ll get it figured out, but so far, the season is in full swing here and I’m focused on getting the medical coverage angle put to bed and deal with these cold temps. Heat pumps were never meant for this!

Got a few invites to travel West in TN to hunt with others, or do some bowfishing… and will get to that…

I still haven’t even figured out where my hunting gear is, let along my special neck knife, but when I do… I promise.
