Haven’t been on here much lately, going through a rough spot in life.
Well I did a deal on a local forum for a youth longbow for my daughter. Done deal, just waiting for a shipping cost. Well after perusing the pics, I see that it doesn’t come with a string. Well since the bow is only 42″ long, I was starting to see a problem. Long story short, after posting an inquiry, I received a pm from a gentleman, who graciously offered to make one for me pro bono! His words “just a old trad guy with nothing to do”! Faith in humanity restored!

That’s a good deal. Hope your daughter enjoys her new bow.
I have recently passed on two little Northern Mist Longbows to a couple of youngn’s. One here in Texas, the other has made it to FL.
I love to see the face of a child when they get their gift and when that first arrow hits the mark:D:D:D
Hope the clouds in your life go away soon.

ON a different tact, I’m sorry to read you hit a “rough spot”, but the fact you’re focusing on your daughter’s joy will bring dividends!
Faith in humanity will often let you with an empty sack, but FAITH, will oft open people’s hearts in ways that are beyond comprehension.
Congrats! This community of Traditional folks have often left me dazzled and humbled! The values akin to pursuit of stick and string, are such that great generosity seem to follow!
May you share many happy hours with your daughter thru the arc of an arrow and the simplest of joys in life! 😀

That’s the kind of generosity, and love for passing on our tradition, that I see time and time again in the trad world. What a great community we have with everyone who carries a stick and string!
