F.O.C vs. Dynamic spine.

Need a little help please. I set up some carbon express 250’s to shoot out of my recurve. Set up with FOC of 21%. Shot great, but then I heard about S’s Calculator. I have never been one to mess with what works {but}. Set up some according to what this bow called for. Lower FOC 15.4% and real eratic flight. I know which setup I am going to use .But can someone please explain.

Stu’s calculator is nice, but it’s only a ballpark starting point. From there, proper tuning will tell you exactly what you should be shooting. This really isn’t a FOC issue; it’s a tuning issue.

Jason is correct. Man, how much weight are drawing? 250″s really heavy spined are’nt they. I shoot CE HERITAGE 90’S out of 52-55 pds with 150 heads. Have to run then 29-30 long to get them right dynamically.Whats your set-up?:)

Hiram @ Jason, Never had this much fun with aluminum arrows. But I made the commitment to try carbons. My bow is 50# @ 28. My draw is 29 arrows cut at 30 1/2.I was chosing my arrows from carbon express arrow chart. and was assuming it would be the right shaft.
