I cannot believe how fast this summer is going. Spent some time today going thru my Elk Camp totes and taking survey. Even though I try my best to put it up ready for the next years camp, I cannot help myself, but to snoop around and check and dbl check things.

Cannot wait for the wall tents and wood smoke smell that signifies another year of camp. Ready to get hiking up the draws, and setting ambush just below some finger ridges. Sure hope I get to see some Wapiti:D

Shot broad heads yesterday, shoot like darts! Feeling really good, and ready to enjoy the steep Xtreme north Idaho mountains.

Bonus in Idaho, we can also take deer(white tail), bear, turkey, wolf, cougar, and grouse! Gotta love the sportsmans pack! Gotta go, I just drooled on my shirt.:D

Seems to be a very happy virus going on around here. I love the enthusiasm! Can’t imagine hunting elk, but I bet I could get used to it real easy.

            John,

Is the sportsmans package one tag, and whichever of those animals you harvest is your one animal?

Those are all separate tags. We can also hunt Muley bucks in Nov. $124.25 gets you all that, plus archery and muzzle loader permits, upland game, waterfowl, Steelhead and Salmon permits. I love Idaho.

Next Monday will be opening archery for elk and deer in SE Wyoming. For the first three or four days of next week I will be hunting out of the cabin in my avatar: my elk camp. 😀
