It appears that I will be able to attend this event 25-28 July in PA. This will be my first—curious if any of you are going or know anything about it–The link is http://www.archeryfestivals.com

ETAR is the best!! situated at the bottom of a ski area, thousands of archers, dozens of vendors, all the major bowyers and archery organizations are present. I think it has 5 3D courses, most of them on the ski slopes and adjacent woods. Lots of serious camps out there!! I remember driving to it one early morning, and seeing a huge cloud of campfire smoke over the valley, it was really something. Glad you can make it. I went last year (first time since ’08 ) but turned around the same day, 5 hours drive each way, because I had to travel and play on that sunday.

I am booked in Norfolk,VA the 28th, but I probably will drive there on Friday and drive back saturday. Maybe we can shoot a course together!

Thanks for the info–I’m going (uh unless life intervenes). It will be my first rendezvous and first shoot on 3-d course. Guess I should also bring big credit card:shock:.

When I firm details will PM you so we can arrange a meet.

Enjoy Norfolk–trust you won’t be playing in one of those establishments–with sign out front–No Dogs or Marines allowed:D

              ColMike,

If you are in PA, here’s good organization and a list of their shoots. There’s also the Whittingham shoot 20 miles into New Jersey. Their trad shoot was a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t make it, but have gone a couple of times and it’s a really nice event. Here’s the PA Longbow Assoc. link. http://www.palongbow.com/schedule.php

Thanks for the link–I’m in W.MD Deep Creek Lake but we are surrounded by PA and WV. The ETAR is about a 4 hour drive NE so looking forward to that. See you there.

Depending on work, I might take a run out on that Friday. It’s a bit of a drive for me, too, but I don’t think four hours. It’s a big show from what I understand. I might give it a try. If I go I’ll make a post saying so and we might be able to do a shoot together. all the best, david

Yep, just checked. About 3.5 hours. Maybe. I’d probably do a day trip and burn the candle. dwc

I won’t be able to make it this year, but have had a great time in the past. Bring lots of arrows. Ha!
