Mighty tickled. She was one of several does slipping through a little oak hammock above the creek. Wind-blown white oak acorns were falling and being cut by squirrels….6 yard shot. Just right for my abilities.:D

        Best to all of you.

Congratulations on a job well done! Probably not much time to bask in the moment with the early season heat and all.:)

You got that right! Usually love to build a fire and make the kill a family celebration…..fire building will have to wait for the next one.

Nothing like positive results early in season to blow the embers of the fire to hunt into full flame!

                                      Congrats!!!!

                                        Tailfeather,
Thats a fine doe you got there. Were you slipping around? Or on a stand? Tree or ground? And 6 yds! that is great. My personal best is 9 yds.

Nice going Tailfeather. Opening day for us Wisconsinites is September 17th. Just got two invites to hunt on friends properties just when I needed the invites. Looking forward to backstraps.:D
