Well after perusing the big auction for a few years now, I finally ran across an affordable 69 Super K. It was dirty and stained from years of lying in a garage, but took to cleaning up pretty well. It’s micarta, with Brazillian Rosewood caps. A slide show is attached; not a perfect bow, but very good condition and a surprising 51# draw weight. And no….I won’t try the fastflight on this one 8^)))))….B50 only. Click on photo for slide show.

It looks like your bow is doing a Snoopy dance too. It made it out of that garage, and survived the cleanup nicely. The color combinations on this bow, I like. And with so many other bows to choose from, Bears still hold a special place on my bow rack. One of the smoothest shooting bows I have is ’70 Grizzly in 50#. The Bear line had some nice designs, and those folks knew how to make them. Enjoy!:)

As for the Snoopy Dance you need to watch the old Peanuts cartoons! I really am getting old!!!!!?????

Very nice bow!! Beautiful color combination. The bowyers at Bear definitely knew what looked good. I love that black color. I recently picked up a mid-70’s Kodiak Magnum that’s 55x#. I was told that the 55x means +/- 1-2 pounds from 55#. I was also told that the actual weight might be written on the riser behind the strike plate. I got that bow for $75 at a local pawn shop.

                Michael.

Michael, that is true…even the ones marked correctly have it also marked under the side plate. That final mark took place after the final tiller and prior to final over-spray.

                    George,
That’s a real beauty. I’ll say it cleaned up great. Can’t see a thing wrong with it. Wish I could find a left hand one like that!
