I was wondering if I could ask you folks for advice.
I have been hunting since I was twelve, but always for the meat. So even though I have killed bucks in the past, their antlers were usually used for rattling or crafts n such. But I can’t help but feel a bit of fondness for the antlers of my Muley since he was my first Deer with a bow. So I have decided to do a DIY mount/plaque and was wondering if any of you had any suggestions about what would make for a nice display? And please post any pics you have of your own. The more ideas the better.

This is not the best pic. but this is my first nice buck since I began bowhunting in the early 80s (lots of does and some bad buck luck). Anyway, I just took a rasp to a peice of black walnut board, used some self adhesive green felt and some gold braided rope from the hobby store, and a wood screw.

Thanks for the pic two4hooking. But after a bit of thought I decided to make em into my newest set of rattling antlers. Can’t eat em after all so I might as well find some use for em. Might try a mount with my first Whitetail though.

That’s cool! What is under the green felt that makes the half sphere? And how did you mount it to the wooden arrowhead? How did you mount the antlers to the half sphere?
              Thanx in advance
