I was wondering if I could ask you folks for advice.
I have been hunting since I was twelve, but always for the meat. So even though I have killed bucks in the past, their antlers were usually used for rattling or crafts n such. But I can’t help but feel a bit of fondness for the antlers of my Muley since he was my first Deer with a bow. So I have decided to do a DIY mount/plaque and was wondering if any of you had any suggestions about what would make for a nice display? And please post any pics you have of your own. The more ideas the better. -
This is not the best pic. but this is my first nice buck since I began bowhunting in the early 80s (lots of does and some bad buck luck). Anyway, I just took a rasp to a peice of black walnut board, used some self adhesive green felt and some gold braided rope from the hobby store, and a wood screw.

Thanks for the pic two4hooking. But after a bit of thought I decided to make em into my newest set of rattling antlers. Can’t eat em after all so I might as well find some use for em. Might try a mount with my first Whitetail though.
