I’d say, ole Hoss, you tend to find the bestest stuff… makes a person think that your world is pretty special… but I suspect you have to hump the hills some to get back where you find all that magic!

1shot — are those from the jaguar photos taken by researchers south of Tucson a few years ago? Jaguar sightings north of the border are a very big deal. If these are a hunter’s cam photos, I presume he alerted the wildlife dept.?

In my few years hunting down there I never once saw a coatamundi, darn.

The Jaguars have been caught on trail cams along most of the southern units, in the “Sky Islands”…

And guy’s arent sharing info on locations (and some have stopped putting the photos out there), mainly because of what happened to “Macho B”, but also the talk of shutting down the entire southern units to many land uses(hunting/hiking/etc…

Coatis are one of the neatest critters to watch, very vocal amoung themselves and they look like they were made by mixing a few animals together, anteater face, raccoon mask and tail markings, monkey tails, long cat-like legs…

Those are both great finds! I would love to see either of those animals in the wild, just never been down that way much. Great photos!

As for the Jag- is the state closing access to areas to protect jaguars?

Caotis are hilarious. And I’ve spent many a sleepless night down there after one (or a gang) discovered our camp. It seems that no matter how clean your camp is, they won’t give up.

Very cool cat pics as well!
