Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the latest issue of TBM. Lots of good, practical advice, from chasing fall turkeys to building natural blinds. And kudos to Don Thomas for calling out RMEF on their position on H.R. 1581. Given what a heavyweight RMEF has become, that took some guts (and I haven’t seen any other mags doing it…). Just an all-around quality issue. Thanks, folks.

Thanks for those kudos (never to be confused with kudus!) As you no doubt know, since that issue went to press the RMEF reversed its position on the bill, and we have a brief note to that effect in the next issue. However, the only reason they did so was beause of the storm of protest raised by concerned sportsmen shrewd enough to see through the BS about “improving access for the disabled and elderly.” Everyone who took time to raise hell deserves kudos just as much as we do. Still waiting on my issue. Ran to the mail box two days in a row now…

Glad you enjoyed the issue. As Don mentioned, the RMEF has already tucked tail on this due to the heat from many sporting groups.

Jeremy, they went out only last week and depending on where you live it may take a few extra days. Postal service on bulk is always slow, and depending on the service center it goes through, it can take up to two weeks. Out of our control once they are shipped; however, if you have not received your copy by next Friday, call Allie via our toll free number and we’ll get you another copy pronto!

Get the digital version!

Thus, the iPad…

Thanks for the info TJ, not complaining, just anxious. No digital version for me either. I like everything, the anticipation of opening the mailbox, the cover art, opening the plastic cover and physically holding/flipping the pages. Almost as good as, well, you know…

Got mine but haven’t opened it yet. I’m wating to get a few hours together to really get into it. I’m going to look into it today I believe. I enjoy having the magazine itself to thumb through. Wayne

Funny thing is, I initially started getting the digital version because the nearest place that carried TBM was over an hour away. Now that my local market carries it, I end up downloading the digital version, and then once it appears on the stands, I can’t resist buying the print version as well…

Hi all,
T.J. I experienced some difficulties a few weeks back getting my initial copy after subscribing. I called Allie and she sent another. The first arrived a couple of days laoer of course
. The call to Allie also was to order 10 back issues. Three weeks later I called Allie and cinfirmed the ship date WAS THE DAY she said she would send them. Couple of days later they got here.
Allie’s ship date and the post office post marked date from your local offie were 8 days apart!
Mayhap you guys overload the Post Office time to time in rural Idaho?
Warm regards,
Larry

Charlie, I guess your mailman isn’t finished with it yet. They all get mailed on the same day, but bulk mail doesn’t always get delivered on the same day. If you don’t have it by Nov. 1 please call Allie toll-free at 888-828-4882.

Received my new TBM in the mail last week. The annual small game issue has always been my favorite issue of the year, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Also, as a longtime supporter and life member of the RMEF I was very pleased to see the editorial in the Dec/Jan issue. It’s important that we hold accountable the organizations that are funded and supported by the hunting community. Thank you TBM for taking a public stand and holding RMEF’s feet to the fire.

Don’t laugh. We live in one of those places the post office powers are shutting down. Bad news because the nearest post office is the local meeting place in the mornings for the old timers since the church/grange burned down.Probably fell behind the seat in the mailman’s pickup truck. -
Woo Hoo! Got mine yesterday. Thanks for another great issue.

Yippee! Just got mine this afternoon. All is now right in my small world.
So, what’s the scoop with the new Zwickey head on p.57???
-
Yours went out with all the rest around the 15th. They are sent through bulk mail, so they don’t all get delivered on the same day. If you don’t have it by Monday, call Allie toll-free at 888-828-4882.
It’s my experience that once you take the time to ask about it, the dang thing shows up the next day.I hope that is the case with you.
