I was just checking out Dean Torges website, which I do rarely as he hasn’t changed it much in several years. For them that haven’t read it, it’s full of good info and interesting stories: http://www.bowyersedge.com

Anyway, I happened to click on it today, and it has a new post in which Dean says he has Stage 3 Lung Cancer. Thought some folks might want to know.

Didn’t even know that crusty ole curmudgeon HAD a website…Used to buy his wares and stand and get learned up at his booth at Denton…then he quit coming and I quit going… no cause and effect.

Sorry to read about the cancer… terrible thing. I’ve lost a lot of good friends from it. Wishes for him to not suffer…:(

I’m sorry to hear he is ill. I wish him and his family all the best. Anyone who has a few minute would find it worth the while to read some of his blog. Great stuff. Thanks for the post, Steve. best, david

Thanks for the heads up Steve. Sad news but it sounds like Dean is ready for the fight.Wishing him the best and prayers sent.If we spent less time trying to run the would and more time on research I believe we could figure out this Damn disease that’s taking so many of our people.

Good luck to all on the upcoming fall season

              Dave

I sent Dean regards through his site and within a couple of hours he wrote back saying, “I’m doing ok and have every expectation of coming out on the other side of this tunnel.”

Good news is good news. All the best to all of you and especially those feeling under the weather, whatever the cause. peace, dwc
