I harvested her using my Dads bow he had picked out for me a week before he died. Could not be more proud to honor the man who is responsible for the the man I am today.

        Thanks Dad, We did it!

It was a 15 yard shot, a long bloodtrail, with this blessing at the end of the trail.

The bow is a Black Widow PLX Osage 58@28
Arrow Dynamics Traditional shaft (735 Grains)
        Grizzly 190 Broadhead…

Wow, that is great. Congrats, and at the same time, sorry for your loss. Must be a heck of an emotional rollercoaster.

An excellent job, excellent thread and I can think of no greater tribute than a son giving thanks to his father in this manner.

You BOTH were truly blessed to have that between you and I am happy to see it is oontinuing to live on.

              God bless!!

Very touching post. I’m sure your dad was smiling down on that hunt. Great bow, great pics. Congratulations and thanks for sharing that.

A touching tribute with a lot of personal meaning for me. My own father, a terrific outdoorsman and the 1990 Nobel Laureate in Medicine, is about to turn 90. He had a leg amputated In August and I hope for nothing more than one more chance to hunt together. Don’t know if we’re going to make it but I’m sure going to try. Cherish the moments you have with the people in your life who count. Don

my dad is currently working in wisconsin a welder in another year i will be goin home to welding school and to start my life.hunting with my dad is truly a sacred ordeal and i hunt and fish with him in excess of 100 days a year.but i have now been against my will in wisconsin for three years. my grandfather whom i always looked to for wisdom and advice and whom taught me most of what i know has had diabetes for a long time and i only hope that in one year he still has e few years left to spend with me.
