Hello I recently bought a predator hunter bow from hunters niche. I have been bare shaft tuning experimenting with different point weghts.I have been leaving the bow strung and every time I check the brace height I have to twist it up to get it where it needs to be.I have only used b50 dacrons.Does a d97 take awhile to stretch? My bow is 61#@28″.My draw is 26″ I have a bunch easton legacy 2117 and I have got good result’s with 28″ with 175 gr. point and 26″3/4 250 gr. pt.Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks!

No worries on the string. It will settle down after a while.

I’ve been using D97 for my homemade endless strings for about 12 years now. With 12 strands, after half a dozen shots it’s pretty well settled in. I may lose 1/8″ of brace height over the life of the string after that point. With B50 it takes significantly longer to settle in.

Just a word of caution: if you tune with. B50 string and then change to D97, your arrows will shoot weak and you will have to retune.

D97 wil always have some creep in a flemish string. It will slow down a lot thou and you may only have to give it a twist or two every 1000 shoots. How many strands was it?
