I’ve been using endless loop dacron strings of my own make for 30 years . The new Super Kodiaks come with D97 flemish strings . If I understand what I’ve read , the D97 and other ”NEWER” materials do not have the shock absorbing effects as the dacron . Is this correct ?
Though the flemish strings are very attractive I can’t seem to get it to quieten down . Having gone through the bracing , from 8 to 9 inches as Bear recommends , it is still too noisy for hunting and plum annoying when roving.I also added silencers made of yarn before shooting this string .
I switched it back to the Dacron and she is quiet .
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .
