So I just watched one of John Teitzel’s (former owner of Tusker Broadheads) hunting videos and he went into a little detail showing off the hunting knife he made for himself. It had a few clever ideas but the one that impressed me was a small threaded screw poking out the end of the handle. It’s purpose? So he can stab the blade into the ground then mount either his little video camera or his still camera on the handle for taking hunting footage or trophy photos respectively. I thought that was pretty neat, if not for everyone 😉

And you could understand him??!! 😆
I have one of his backpack hog hunting videos and there are some things I can barely make out what he’s saying…of course, some of it might be colloquial expressions that just don’t ring true in my Yank ear!
Years ago, there was a neat gizmo around when I did semi pro photography. It was a whole tilt head and camera screw thing with handle welded onto a small vise grip! You could clamp it onto most anything… and mount your camera. That was before these tiny digi cameras, but still would make a pretty cool thing.
Did I get one? Nah…didn’t have the $$ then, but wish I did now!

Hahaha, after I married my American wife, my Kentuckian father in law introduced me to a group of his friends. He said “Fellas, this is my new son Jim. He’s a great guy but you won’t understand a word he says.”
I guess it’s a common thing! But the irony of a Kentuckian complaining about incomprehensible English was not lost on me 😉
