There is almost no traffic in the classified TB ads. Zero ads in many categories and only six in the “bows” last I looked. IS TB’s membership THAT small or no one uses the ads !?

I also sold a bow. For some it might be a one or two time deal. Maybe folks are hanging on to their bows waiting for better times.

I wondered that as well. There’s a lot of activity over on the stickbow site…in fact I just bought a bow from an ad I placed there, should have it next week hopefully.

My theory is that a lot of folks mainly hit the forums and don’t realize there are so many areas here to explore. Classified Ads, Feature stories that aren’t in the magazine, photo galleries, an event calendar, TradSpace, etc. All those areas are free but some require a free membership. Tell all your friends! 😀

Thanks for the replies, however I’m not convinced there is a great enough membership here to generate more traffic than a remote mounain road when compared to the other trad sites busy freeways.

I posted an ad and now I am getting strange emails from a dying man who wants to leave me all his money because he doesn’t trust his children, but he doesn’t have the bow I want.

😯 This probably follows the old “too good to be true…” theory. I’m pretty sure that only happens in country music and movies on Lifetime.

Responding to a classified ad is open to anyone with access to the internet. Unfortunately that also includes spammers and whakos. 😉 Also be cautious of anyone wanting to buy a product for more than you are asking and wants you to send back the “extra” funds.

I would like to believe that your ads would get response from folks on this site, and I don’t want to be skeptical of every response, but please use caution. You can always ask me if we have any record of the buyer. The Help section of the Classifieds also has some cautions that would be good to go over. If you want to PM me the responder’s name I’ll tell you if we have him as a member.
