My wife intercepted this on Monday and wrapped it for Christmas.
Wolfer made by Dick and Yote Robertson of Robertson Stykbow
Trying to upload pics for the first time I hope it works.

That’s a beauty! Your wife is smart to let you buy the bow so she can wrap it and give it to you! dwc

Wow – very nice!! I talked with Dick at the BHA gathering in Boise last spring, and he had one of the first Wolfers with him, that I was able to check out. I really liked the handle/grip, as I have on just about every Robertson I’ve handled.

The BHA in Boise is where I got to first see and handle the wolfer also.
The grip just feels natural and comfortable and the dang thing shoots like a dream.:D
Ya know Bruce, this bow could very well be “The One”!
Edit: This is also my first recurve, all of my other bows are long bows.

It’s awesome when you find The One! 😉
Out of curiosity, what are the woods used on that bow? I really like the limbs.

I am not sure about the woods, I believe the limbs are walnut, but I’m checking with Vicki today and will let you know for sure.
Edit: I spoke with Vikke and she didn’t know for sure but thought it was a dark Bocote.

Vikke had thought the wood was Bocote, but she was going to verify with Yote. He said that it is Bocote- limbs, Bocote and black micarta(for strength)-riser, with Bocote and maple tips.
Smooth sweet shooting bow- just waiting for temps to get up closer to zero to fine tune my arrows.
I just can’t seem to get in the mood when it’s -27 in the morning. I did get out and shoot a little when it warmed up to -10.
Looking forward to working in New Mexico next week. 😉
