My brother asked me to build a custom bow for his daughter (my niece) for Christmas. I don’t require a great deal of arm twisting to build a bow and even less when it is for family!

Nice! 35#’s is stout for a young lady…. She must not be a wee little thing.
Nothing can be better than a bow for X-mas!

Steve she draws about 24″ so it should be around 25# at her draw length. She is 14 so I was wanting to build something that she can grow up with. I made it 62″ so that it would be extra smooth in the draw. Lol
The string length is 58″

Very beautiful. Will she have some arrows with it? She might just disappear for the rest of the day after she opens that package. Thanks for posting. Best, dwc

I sent my brother the arrow details so he can secure those along with tab- arm guard etc. I think he is as excited as I am to set her up with the full package. I even have a couple videos links that I send showing the process of stringing a bow and nocking an arrow etc.
I even offered to show her myself if he wanted to fly me out to Colorado during deer season. Lol

If I weren’t already happily married, I’d find a way to marry into that family. Beautiful piece of bowmaking exceeded only by the generosity behind it.

Cameron, your niece is a very lucky young lady, nicely done sir.

Nice! Remind her to rotate that elbow around… ouch!

That’s really cool! Jeff Kavanaugh has posted a couple of videos on YouTube of his daughter shooting. Worth checking out and maybe your niece would be interested. That’s a great gift for all involved. Best, dwc
